Why people choose EveryRemote

Works with the TV you have

Samsung, LG, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV (Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Chromecast), Sony Bravia, Vizio and Apple TV. Older TVs without Wi-Fi work through an IR blaster.

No ads. No account. No subscription.

Open it and press a button. The basic remote is free forever, and Pro is one payment, not a monthly bill.

Help your parents from anywhere

Family help lets you press buttons on Mom's TV from your own phone, or set up her whole home for her. End-to-end encrypted, and off until she says yes.

Easy mode for grandparents

Big buttons with words on them: Power, Louder, Quieter, Channel up. Hide what they don't need, and lock it with a PIN.

Remote on your wrist and Lock Screen

Apple Watch, Wear OS, widgets, Control Center, the Lock Screen and Siri. Turn the TV off at bedtime with Shortcuts.

Type and speak to search

Use your phone's keyboard, or say what you're looking for. Speech is turned into text on your phone and never leaves it.

Questions people ask

Is EveryRemote free?

Yes. The basic remote is free, with no ads. Pro is a one-time purchase that adds widgets, the Apple Watch remote, Siri, Easy mode, bedtime, family help for the helper, and more.

Do I need to make an account?

No. EveryRemote has no accounts or sign-ins. It finds your TV on your Wi-Fi and asks the TV for permission, just like the TV maker's own app.

Which TVs does EveryRemote work with?

Samsung (2016 and newer), LG webOS, Roku TVs and streamers, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV (including Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and Chromecast with Google TV), Sony Bravia, Vizio SmartCast and Apple TV. TVs without Wi-Fi work through a BroadLink, Tasmota or ESPHome IR blaster, or an Android phone's IR port.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Your phone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi. For a TV with no Wi-Fi, use an Android phone with an IR port, or a Wi-Fi IR blaster.

Can I control my parent's TV from another house?

Yes, with family help. Your parent sends you an invite from their phone, taps Allow, and their TV shows up on your phone. Today the phone being helped needs to be an Android phone.

Can it turn my TV on?

Yes, on most TVs, once the TV's own setting is on: Power On with Mobile on Samsung, Turn on via Wi-Fi on LG, Remote start on Sony, and Fast TV Start on Roku TVs. Google TV, Fire TV and Vizio turn on without extra settings.

Does EveryRemote collect my data?

No. There are no ads, analytics or trackers. The app talks to your TV inside your home. The only internet feature is family help, which is end-to-end encrypted and off until you use it.
